We will include a free cassette of one of John Taylor Gatto's most famous speeches, "A Short, Angry History of American Education." (This cassette tape is not for sale anywhere, even on our site.) In this talk, John condenses the most powerful evidence that American schooling has been, for at least a hundred years, a laboratory experiment in altering the consciousness of children, directing it away from family and other traditional relationships, toward a condition of compliance with business and government social initiatives.

We will also include a handsome original autograph plate which you can affix to any copy of The Underground History of American Education. (John's hand is still sore from signing all of these!) The books themselves cannot be signed directly because of their protection shrink-wrap.
